Reducing Workplace Conflict – A Collaborative Roundtable Discussion

On 4 June, the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) Workplace and Employment group co-hosted a roundtable discussion with Acas at the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). The event brought together key stakeholders from across the workplace dispute resolution landscape to explore how we can work more collaboratively to reduce workplace conflict.

The roundtable focused on practical strategies to promote earlier, less adversarial approaches to resolving disputes—shifting the emphasis from confrontation to constructive dialogue. Attendees discussed ways to embed mediation and other early resolution techniques more deeply within workplace cultures and practices.
